Fort Peck is home to a gem of a lake area.  In the 1930's and 40's a huge land fill dam was built to hold back the waters of the mighty Missouri River to control flooding down stream and create jobs during the hard times the world was going through at the time.  See Fort Peck Dam for more...

Hunting and Fishing is fantastic in this pristine area. Deer, Elk, Upland Birds, Migratory Waterfowl, Coyotes, Lake Trout, Walleye, Sauger, Northern Pike, Catfish, to name a few of the species available.

The lake is 70 miles long and at full pool boasts more shore line than the entire coast of California! At this time the Lake level is about 51 feet below normal as measured with my GPS. (2260 fasl at beach in front of house to 2209 fasl as measured on the ice) Enjoy our Webcams!
